VFR (Visual Flight Rules) - Flying at night qualification

General information

PPL or LAPL holders (both – airplane and helicopter) can extend qualifications to flying at night.

Night flights begin at least half an hour after sunset and end half an hour before sunrise.

We conduct the training at the airport in Przylep, equipped with automatic permanent lighting of the runway.

Night VFR training is also mandatory for applicants for a professional license CPL(A).

VFR Theory

THEORETICAL TRAINING TAKES 5 HOURS OF STUDY.

It is a stationary training, conducted with our instructors on the aspects of flying at night, preparation for flights, aircraft equipment, meteorological conditions and aviation law regulations.

VFR Practice

IT IS 5 HOURS IN THE AIR FOR PRACTICAL TRAINING

We conduct the training at the airport in Przylep, equipped with automatic permanent lighting of the runway. We fly on any aircraft available in our fleet (all aircraft are certified for night flights). As part of the practice, we perform 3 hours of flights with an instructor over the airport and a navigation flight at a distance of at least 50 km and 5 independent, solo take-offs and landings.

VFR Requirements

PPL or LAPL licence (either for helicopters or airplanes) and completed a minimum of 5 hours of training in IMC conditions and a minimum of 5 hours on the type of aircraft on which the training will be conducted

Age:
At least 17 years of age on the day of entering the training

Aero-medical certificates:
A Class 1
